Lee Morais


Lee Morais is a noted museum educator, award-winning filmmaker and artist. As a painter he was represented by art galleries in New Orleans, Santa Fe, and Washington, D.C. As an arts administrator with the Arts Council of New Orleans, Morais helped administer a Percent for Art program that helped artists create works for public facilities. He brings his extensive museum, educational and creative experiences to the design of learning-based interactive exhibits in art and children's museums around the country.

As former Director of Education at the New Orleans Museum of Art, he established the Museum's interactive educational exhibition, the stARTing Point, one of the first permanent interactive educational installations in the United States.

Morais taught art and film making for over 25 years at Michigan State University, Towson State University, the University of New Mexico and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he chaired the Fine Arts Department.
